Data Networks Welcomes New Centralized Services Engineer

Hunt Valley, MD – February 6, 2023 – Data Networks, a premier solution provider focused on simplifying enterprise IT for K-12 and higher education, government, healthcare, and mid-market commercial customers, is pleased to announce the addition of Russell Sakolsky as Centralized Services Engineer.

In this role, Russell is responsible for working closely to support our Managed IT Services customers’ various systems and infrastructures, encompassing all aspects of Systems Administration, via our service desk. Russell’s role also includes oversight of device health policy management, patch management, routine systems test and maintenance, troubleshooting client devices, and back-end management of enterprise infrastructure to ensure efficient daily operations for our clients.

Russell brings more than 5 years of information systems support experience and critical thinking within the IT industry. Most recently, he held the role of Help Desk Analyst at Olmec Systems, where he provided support, administration and troubleshooting for Windows, Mac, Network, VoIP, Windows Server, Firewall Environments, Active Directory, Office 365, and Google Workspaces. He was also responsible for creating and updating knowledge base documentation pertaining to customer environments, specific use cases, and issue resolutions.

Prior to his work with Olmec Systems, Russell worked as an IT Analyst, Tier 2 Support for Complete Document Solution’s MSP division. In this role, Russell supported customers, managed tickets through Autotask and Zendesk, implemented and supported backup solutions, including Datto BCDR, SaaS protection, Cloud Continuity and Carbonite. He also managed IT vendors for customers, performed migrations, site surveys and onboardings,  deployed firewalls and remote desktop access solutions.

Russell holds a B.S. in Software Engineering from University of Advancing Technology in Arizona. Russell is a gifted IT professional, with extensive experience and we are excited to add him to our team at Data Networks.
