Aruba WLAN Network for New Office Tenant

Optimizing WLAN Investment and Control for University of Baltimore

Q2 2020

Data Networks provided a complete solution that will allow the University to continue managing its existing wireless network while also allowing a potential new office tenant to manage a subset of the WLAN with their own SSIDs, authentication methods, and related configuration options. Data Networks engineers designed, deployed and configured the solution which involved relocating 3 existing Aruba APs and installing 30 additional Aruba APs. A new Aruba Mobility Controller was deployed, and the existing Mobility Master was configured to support MultiZone, a feature of the Aruba solution that allows the management of separate WLANs on the same APs, under separate management/traffic zones and by a different controller.
