Storage Server Virtualization

NAS to Windows Server File Shares Migration for Maryland Public School District

Q4 2021

This Maryland public school district was facing storage challenges due to their outdated and unsupported NAS server. The district needed to upgrade their NAS solution and dissolve the management siloes between their data protection and disaster recovery strategies while working with a limited budget and a small internal IT team. After recommending a server virtualization for the school district, Data Networks designed and implemented a geographically diverse, high availability virtual DFSN/DFSR solution, leveraging Veeam’s hypervisor-based backup to protect the data in production and ensure business continuity.
