Replace MicroFocus NetIQ with Microsoft MIM for a Maryland University

With operating costs for their existing MicroFocus NetIQ identity manager solution rising, and MicroFocus platform expertise dwindling, the University’s Center for Information Technology determined the need to replace their identity manager solution, as well as build in-house administration and management expertise for the new solution. Data Networks recommended and deployed the Microsoft Identity Manager solution to provide the university with a modern platform, leveraging their existing licensing and providing parity with existing capabilities. Data Networks also provided the IT team with a knowledge transfer and Microsoft support services to enable a warm transition from external services provided by Data Networks to internal services and administration provided by the University’s IT Administration.
