Hunt Valley, MD– October 17, 2023 – Data Networks, a premier solution provider focused on simplifying enterprise IT for education, government, and small and medium enterprise (SME) customers, is pleased to announce the addition of Troy Few as Service Desk Engineer, Level II for our Managed IT Services team.
In this role, Troy is responsible for working closely with our Managed IT customers through our Service Desk to support and troubleshoot their systems to ensure efficient daily operation. He will also perform system tests regularly to anticipate and resolve issues and recommend updates to customers where appropriate.
Troy brings ten years of experience as a customer service-driven and solutions-oriented IT professional. Most recently, he held the role of Systems Technician 3 at General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) where he provided hardware, software, and system troubleshooting, support, and training for end-users. During his time at GDIT he also supported large projects, including a site migration for 300 remote and on-site users and a network stand-up for a new site, including documentation and mapping.
Before his work with GDIT, Troy worked as a Help Desk Manager at Notre Dame Preparatory School. In this role he monitored and resolved internal helpdesk tickets, managed the Active Directory environment, oversaw onboarding processes for faculty and staff, and created and deployed SCCM program packages.
Troy holds various industry and vendor-specific certifications, including CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
